Shared 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour
The Classic Sahara Route, Shared
This shared 3 day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga follows Morocco’s most famous Sahara route — over the High Atlas, through UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades and Todra gorges, all the way to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a sunset camel trek and a night at a desert camp.
You travel in a small group of 6–17 fellow travelers in a comfortable A/C minibus with an English-speaking driver-guide. Departures run every day, there’s no single supplement, and half of every group is usually solo travelers — most leave with new friends.

Honest note on distances: Merzouga is deep in the Sahara — Day 1 is about 7 hours on the road and Day 3 around 10, always broken up with scenic stops. That’s the real cost of reaching the big dunes, and every traveler who watches the sunset from Erg Chebbi says it’s worth it. Only have two days? Look at our Zagora tours instead.
